Tuscany Camping Holidays
Romantic, rural Tuscany is everything you imagined and more. Whether you come for peace and quiet, food and wine, history and culture, or all of the above, Tuscany offers never ending possibilities.
Our two campsites in the Tuscan region - Park Albatros and Norcenni Girasole Club - provide a perfect base from which to explore Tuscany.
Magnificent villas standing proudly on the crest of rolling hill tops. Silver-leafed olive groves shimmering in the shade. Perfectly preserved towns each more magical than the last.
What to eat and drink in Tuscany
Savour the tastes of Italian cuisine during your holiday in Tuscany by starting with crostini bread and paté. Move on to beefsteak Florentine, wild boar or white bean stew. Polish off a little pecorino - sheep's milk cheese. And to finish? Panforte with Vin Santo dessert wine of course!
Tuscany is one of the worlds greatest wine regions and more than a match for Burgundy or Bordeaux. Rich and complex Chianti (at its best from the Classico region) is hard to beat as an accompaniment to the rich local cuisine. Lesser known, but well worth a go, is Chianti Rufina.
Tuscany is also home to the great red wines of Montepuliciano and Montalcino. But if you're more of a white wine person, try dry Isistra Bianco de Uve Chardonnay di Toscana or Terre di Tufi. Rare Ornellaia and Sassicaia are so cherished they're sold in 10cl measures.
What to see and do in Tuscany
Whilst camping in Tuscany, marvel at the sights and sounds of Florence, one of the world's most beautiful cities with more art per square foot than any other place on earth.
Explore the fascinating, thriving Medieval city of Siena, charismatic home to the fast and furious Palio horse races. Or scale the dramatic towers of San Gimignano, a romantic reminder of a bygone era when squabbles and subterfuge played out under the Tuscan sun.
