Things to do in Croatia
Football, handball, skiing, tennis... Croatia may be a relatively new country (independent since 1990) but it's already made its mark upon world sport, with champions in practically every field of endeavour. So it will come as no surprise to learn that this is a very active nation, proud of its sporting achievements and facilities.
The result? You'll never be stuck for things to do in Croatia. But of course it's not all ball games and sports gear. The illustrious Istrian peninsula, for example, directly opposite the magnificent Brijuni archipelago with Venice in the distance, many of whose Italian characteristics it shares, is perfect for both the sun worshipper and culture vulture alike.
There are spotlessly clean, historic towns and cities to explore, mile after mile of white-sand beach, delightful, old fishing villages and the soothing shade of fragrant pine woods, perfect for a gentle stroll before dinner, or a dash around by mountain bike.
From soccer pitch to ski run, Croatia is committed to making sure kids have a wonderfully active time all year round, not just on summer holiday. That's why at both of our family camping parks in Croatia there are clubs for all age groups, action-packed activity programmes, and all sorts of games and sports on offer to wear even the most determined of children out - a good night's sleep for all guaranteed!
